Editorial Policy
This Editorial Policy explains how TextLoom creates, reviews, and maintains its blog content and tool documentation — so you know exactly what standards we hold ourselves to.
1. Our Editorial Mission
TextLoom's editorial mission is to publish genuinely useful, accurate, original content about writing, word counting, text tools, and related topics. We write for real people with real needs — not to game search engines. Every article should give the reader something practical they can use immediately.
2. Writing Standards
- Original research: Where we make factual claims — for example, about reading speeds, word counts per page, or platform character limits — we verify them against primary sources (platform documentation, published academic research, or direct testing) before publishing.
- Accuracy over speed: We do not publish content under deadline pressure. If a fact cannot be verified, we do not state it as fact.
- Plain language: We write in clear, direct English appropriate for an international audience with mixed reading levels.
- No keyword stuffing: We do not repeat keywords unnaturally or pad content to reach a word count target. Every sentence should earn its place.
- No AI-generated filler: Where AI tools assist in drafting, all content is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor before publication. We do not publish unreviewed AI output.
3. Review and Update Process
Blog articles are reviewed before publication by at least one editor for factual accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Articles that reference time-sensitive information (e.g., social media character limits, which platforms update periodically) are reviewed at least once per year and updated when the underlying facts change.
The "Last updated" date shown on articles reflects the date of the most recent substantive revision, not just formatting or copy-editing changes.
4. Corrections Policy
If a factual error is identified in any article, we correct it promptly. Significant corrections (changes to core factual claims) are noted at the bottom of the article with a brief explanation of what changed and why. Minor corrections (typos, grammar) are made silently.
If you believe an article contains an error, please report it via our Contact page with a link to the article and the specific claim you believe is incorrect. We will investigate and respond.
5. Advertising and Sponsorship Independence
TextLoom displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content. No article on TextLoom is written, modified, or withheld based on advertiser requests or relationships. Tool descriptions and recommendations are based solely on the tool's own merits.
TextLoom does not currently publish sponsored posts, paid reviews, or affiliate-linked product recommendations. If this changes in the future, sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such in accordance with applicable advertising standards.
6. E-E-A-T Commitment
Google's quality guidelines emphasize Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T). TextLoom is built around this framework:
- Experience: Our tools are built and used by writers who encounter the same word-count and character-count problems our readers face.
- Expertise: Claims about writing, publishing, SEO, and text formatting are based on established industry knowledge and primary sources.
- Authoritativeness: We build authority through consistent, accurate, original content — not through link schemes or manufactured signals.
- Trustworthiness: Our policies (Privacy, Terms, Disclaimer) are real, complete, and written in plain language. We are transparent about how we make money and how we handle data.
